Gift donations for the family.
John and Salome would like to thank everyone who has so generously sent gifts to Rati and her sisters. They have brought a huge ammount of joy in very difficult times, and the girls have very much appreciated the thoughtfulness people have shown them, both in Botswana and Canada.
Rati has, in fact, received so many gifts that, rather than watching them pile up in Canada, she has asked that many of them be sent home to Botswana so that her friends at the hospital in Francistown can share in the excitement of receiving new toys to play with and softies to hug. The photo below shows just how many gifts Rati has received. This photo was taken before the toys were parcelled up for postage to Botswana.
The family has asked that people now graciously consider making a donation to Rati's medical fund, rather than spending money on gifts. They are acutely aware that a huge sum of money must be raised to cover costs of vital treatment, and in making a contribution, you will be helping to give the family the ultimate gift - their daughter's life.
Please visit the International Rb Daisy Fund to make a donation to Rati's medical costs.
In kind donations of toiletries and non-perishable foods would also be very welcome as these are daily items. Suggestions of things to buy are:
brown and white rice Pasta / spaghetti Fruit Loops or other similar kids cereal Bran Flakes Artificial Sweetner (for diabetic use) shower gel/body wash bubble bath body lotion shampoo and conditioner leave in conditioner spray Phone cards: from Canada to Botswana.
Any gift donations of this kind should be sent to :
