Contribute to Rati's medical costs.

Rati's medical bills will be considerable.  Chemo, radiotherapy and stem cell transplant are essential if her cancer is to be cured.  However, these are expensive treatments, and the total medical bill is expected to exceed £100,000/US$200,000.

Please make a donation to the International Retinoblastoma Daisy Fund, which is responsible for meeting these financial needs.  We rely entirely on the generosity of the public, so please open your heart to Rati with a contribution.  however small or large, your donation will be directly helping to save the  life of this beautiful little girl.  Click on the link below.

There are several ways in which you can
support Rati and her family in Canada.

Please take time to consider the suggestions below, and contact Abby if you with to discuss any of them further.

Contribute to Rati's Medical Costs.
-----
Donate Gift Certificates for Groceries.
-----
Gift Donations to the Family.
Donate gift certificates for groceries.

If you live in the Toronto area, or you have access to a Dominion grocery store in Canada, please consider purchasing a gift certificate for John and Salome to spend on groceries.  Such a donation will help the family with daily living costs, and will free Daisy Fund donations for application to Rati's medical costs.

If you wish to send the family a gift certificate, please send it to the address below:

Gift donations for the family.

John and Salome would like to thank everyone who has so generously sent gifts to Rati and her sisters.  They have brought a huge ammount of joy in very difficult times, and the girls have very much appreciated the thoughtfulness people have shown them, both in Botswana and Canada.

Rati has, in fact, received so many gifts that, rather than watching them pile up in Canada, she has asked that many of them be sent home to Botswana so that her friends at the hospital in Francistown can share in the excitement of receiving new toys to play with and softies to hug.  The photo below shows just how many gifts Rati has received.  This photo was taken before the toys were parcelled up for postage to Botswana.

The family has asked that people now graciously consider making a donation to Rati's medical fund, rather than spending money on gifts.  They are acutely aware that a huge sum of money must be raised to cover costs of vital treatment, and in making a contribution, you will be helping to give the family the ultimate gift - their daughter's life.

Please visit the International Rb Daisy Fund to make a donation to Rati's medical costs.

In kind donations of toiletries and non-perishable foods would also be very welcome as these are daily items.  Suggestions of things to buy are:

brown and white rice
Pasta / spaghetti
Fruit Loops or other similar kids cereal
Bran Flakes
Artificial Sweetner (for diabetic use)
shower gel/body wash
bubble bath
body lotion
shampoo and conditioner
leave in conditioner spray
Phone cards: from Canada to Botswana.

Any gift donations of this kind should be sent to :
